Witham Ambulance Station visit

12th January 2018

Witham MP Priti Patel has met with paramedics working out of the Witham Ambulance Station today [12 January 2018] and has praised them for the work they do helping and caring for patients. Priti also discussed the current situation with winter pressures and increasing demand. Priti said:

“Our brilliant and dedicated paramedics are working incredibly hard every day to treat patients, provide them with care and take people to hospital. Demand has reached record levels this winter and I am working with the Ambulance Trust to see how actions by the Trust, Hospitals, GPs and the Council can support patient care.”

Priti, who has successfully campaigned for new investment in ambulances and paramedics in the Trust, also met with new recruits and added:

“In recent years the Ambulance Trust has built up capacity investing in more ambulances and paramedics. I was delighted to meet some of the new recruits who are already making a real difference to the lives of people every day.”
