Vote for Brainwave funding bid

20th November 2017

Witham MP, Priti Patel, has joined Community Manager, Gerry Gould, to call on constituents across Witham and Essex to lend their support by voting for the local Brainwave Children's Charity in the Aviva competition.

Brainwave Children's Charity is looking to help more families within the community to be able to attend their Children's Therapy Centre for treatment. Brainwave works towards giving children with disabilities and additional needs the best opportunity in life and to help them achieve greater independence by aiming to improve mobility, communication skills and learning potential through a range of educational and physical therapies.

The Brainwave bid for funding is to create a 'Therapy Fund' which can be used to help any new families to be able to attend Brainwave or any existing families who need help for a Re-Assessment. The Therapy Fund can be split into various amounts of money depending on the child's needs. The fund will help to contribute towards the cost of Initial Assessments and Re-Assessments which will include any therapy equipment needed.

Priti commented:
“We have all seen first-hand the amazing work Brainwave does in our community. The support they provide to parents and families is invaluable and I am proud to represent this extremely worthwhile charity.

“£5,000 from the Aviva Community Fund will go a very long way to help many families unlock their children's potential.

“I am calling on people across the Witham constituency to take five minutes, log onto the website and pledge your votes.”

Registration and the casting of votes must take place before 21 November 2017 and can be done by following this link:
