Christmas Card Competition 2015 Winners

Member of Parliament for the Witham constituency Priti Patel is delighted to announce that Yasmin Brown, aged 5, from Stanway Fiveways Primary School, Stanway is the winner of the 2015 Witham Constituency Christmas Card Competition. Once again a record number of outstanding entries were received from a wide range of local schools across the Witham constituency showcasing the wide range of designs entered in the competition.

Priti will present Yasmin with the Christmas card that features her design at her school before the end of the term along with a prize for her winning design. Additionally, Priti will send the competition’s runners-up, whose designs will also be showcased on the back of her Christmas card, a congratulatory gift. Priti will also be sending every child who participated in the competition a certificate to express her gratitude for their wonderful designs.

Priti said: “I am so impressed by the high quality of this year’s submissions to the Witham Christmas Card Competition. Pupils across the Witham constituency have demonstrated once again their creativity and hard work, and they should be very proud of the artwork they submitted.

“I would like to congratulate Yasmin for her winning design which will look wonderful on my Christmas card this year. I would also like to praise the runners-up and all participating pupils, and extend to them, their parents and the school staff my very best wishes for the Christmas and New Year period.”

A12/A120 Consultations

Strategic Road Network Consultations

There are two important consultations running at the moment on key strategic road infrastructure improvements - the A12 widening scheme and the upgrading of the A120. Priti has been campaigning to secure new investment in these roads and has welcomed the consultations taking place.
