Christmas Card Competition

Witham MP, Priti Patel, is delighted to announce that Lily Burne, aged 8, from Milldene Primary School, Tiptree, is the winner of the 2017 Witham Constituency Christmas Card Competition. Once again, a record number of outstanding entries were received from a range of local schools across the Witham constituency, showcasing exceptional pupil talent through the designs entered in the competition.

Priti will present Lily with the Christmas card that features her design at her school before the end of the term along with a celebratory certificate. Additionally, Priti will send the competition's runners-up, whose designs will also be showcased on the back of her Christmas card, a congratulatory certificate. Priti will also be sending every child who participated in the competition a certificate to express her gratitude for their wonderful designs. Priti said:

“This year's entries were of a superb quality, showcasing pupil's demonstrable talent and creativity. Pupils, parents and schools should be proud of the hard work that went into the artwork they submitted.

“I would like to congratulate Lily for her winning design which will look wonderful on my Christmas card this year. I would also like to praise the runners-up and all participating pupils, and extend to them, their parents, and the school staff, my very best wishes for Christmas and New Year.”

Strategic Road Network Consultations

There are two important consultations running at the moment on key strategic road infrastructure improvements - the A12 widening scheme and the upgrading of the A120. Priti has been campaigning to secure new investment in these roads and has welcomed the consultations taking place.
